Information about ROD 2019

When

The next ROD will take place saturday 13th to friday 19th, April 2019.

Where

ROD 2019 will be at Tønder Gymnasium, Astronom Hansensgade 9, 6270 Tønder, Denmark

Price

The price of participating at ROD2019 is 1200DKK. The price includes

– Being taught by four professional musicians

– Accommodation at the school

– Food three or four times a day

– Free coffee and tea

– Workshops

– Two or three concerts with professional bands

Signing up

Sign up for ROD 2019 for participants open on 1st of February 2019 kl. 19.00.

This year payment is done using a credit card and you will have to pay when you sign up. A link to the sign up page will be sent out in an email and posted on our facebook page.

Sign up for ROD 2019 as a volunteer will open on 7th of February 2019 kl. 19.00. More information will follow.

Instructors

The working group are extremely proud to present four amazing artist who will be teaching and conducting the participants at ROD 2019.

Casey Driessen

Casey Driessen is a fiddle player from USA, now living in Spain, recognized across the world for his amazing bluegrass fiddle chops.

Jullie Hjetland

Jullie Hjetland is a Scandinavian singer mastering both the Sanish, Swedish and Norwegian vocal traditions. Jullie is a part of many projects in both traditional music as well as jazz.

Sebastien Dubé

Sabastien Dubé is a double bass player from Canada. Dubé now lives in Sweden where he plays both Nordic and can Canadian traditional music, as well as jazz and everything in between.

Hanna Wiskari

Hanna Wiskari is a Swdish saxophone player living in New Zealand. Hanna mostly plays traditional Scandinavian music and has many years of experience teaching music, for example at the Ethno New Zealand.

Mad

We are happy to again have Oliver Lind Olrik as the chef at ROD. Oliver cooks delicious, nutritious food using fresh, natural ingredients, which are mostly organic. Food at ROD is included in the ticket price, and will be served 3 or 4 times a day, with options for people with special dietary requirements, such as vegans, vegetarians and people with allergies.
